The Chemistry of Health Incubator nurtures spin-out companies from inception through early growth.
The Incubator is the first in Cambridge to be directly integrated into a University Department, and will provide the resources and complementary know-how required to ensure that fundamental research is ultimately used to develop new treatments for patients.
This strategic arrangement maximises opportunities for our Department to interact with the industrial and entrepreneurial expertise drawn to the health-research institutes burgeoning in and around Cambridge, creating a seamless interface between research and practical applications. It also provides a favourable environment to develop skills in research translation and entrepreneurship with the aim to increase research impact.
The Incubator is currently host to Wren Therapeutics, a start-up company developing small molecule therapies for degenerative diseases.
